Caribbean Stud Poker Hand Guide
I thought it would be helpful to create a Caribbean Stud Poker hand guide for those that are newer to the game or want to learn how to play Caribbean Stud Poker. If you read any of my tutorials on this website, you should know this hand guide. Below, I have listed the possible hands in Caribbean Stud Poker in order of worst to best. I’ve also included graphics to help you visualize each hand. Non-Qualifying Hand Simply put, any hand that is not one of the following hands, is a non-qualifying hand. Ace-King Hand An Ace-King hand is a qualifying hand with one Ace and one King. This hand doesn’t have anything else.
One Pair Having two cards of the same rank.
Two Pair Having two sets of cards of the same rank.
Three of a Kind Having three cards of the same rank.
Straight Having 5 cards in sequential order. The Ace can be before the 2 or after the King.
Flush Having 5 cards of the same suite.
Full House Having three cards of one rank and two cards of another rank.
Four of a Kind Having four cards of the same rank.
Straight Flush Having five cards of the same suit in sequential order.
Royal Flush This is the granddaddy of them all. A Royal Flush is when you have the 10-J-Q-K-A of the same suit.
